I saw this over at Fizzy Thoughts and I thought it was interesting, so I decided to try it.

On My Door Step
I totally "borrowed" this from The Story Siren. On My Door Step is just another name for In my mailbox, a topic where you share with everyone, on Sunday, what you books you got during the week. It can be a book you borrowed, bought, or one you found on your door step. I thought I'd join in on the fun, when I can, making this week, my first week.
This week, I got The Season by Sarah MacLean, Thanks to her and My Favorite Author. Look for it in stores March 2009 or get an early copy through Scholastic Book Clubs TAB Club [Teen Age Books].

Guest Author and Giveaway
This Contest is Official Closed.
Today is the first day of my Guest Author giveaway and I'm pretty pumped. But I guess we better get started. The first author is going to be the one, the only, Amy Goldman Koss!!!! You might remember her from the wonderful interview we had last month. This one, is just as great. So here's Amy sharing a few words about her HILARIOUS favorite family tradition. "Remember, she is a FICTION writer."
But I really WOULD like to be able to say that I dress all our family pets up as holiday heroes and characters for our annual photo shoot. The turtles, (two big red sliders) would look lovely in sparkly fairy wings with halos. Chubs the hamster would make an adorable elf with tiny curly-toed green elf shoes on his itty feet.
So now, what's in stock for you? Amy has donated a copy of Poison Ivy for one lucky winner, all you have to do is leave a comment... oh, and tell your friends.
Extra Entries?
post about the contest and include the link in your comment--one extra entry

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
Breaking Dawn
Stephenie Meyer
OVERVIEW
I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen. You may BITE your bride. After their fantabulous wedding, thanks to Alice, of course, Edward and Bella fly over to Brazil, Esme's Island to be exact, for their oh-so-short honeymoon. Why is that? When changes in Bella's diet occur, there's only one explanation for it, Renesemee.
REVIEW
I've read so many thoughts on this book, I'm kinda unsure of my own, but here goes nothing. At the beginning of Breaking Dawn, it was VERY VERY BORING. Especially when it got into Jacob's book. [MAJOR SPOILER] After he imprinted on Renesemee, things started heating up, but the fire never really did start. I honest think it was really stupid for Bella to get pregnant. Like I get how it all adds up and everything, but I just felt that was like a last resort kinda thing. [SPOLIER ENDED.] I am happy with the way Stephenie ended the series though. I also am upset that it's all over, because like Harry Potter, it's just one of those series you never want to live to see the end of. Over all, Breaking Dawn was just an OKAY book. It was definitely NOTHING compared to the original, Twilight, which is and always will be my favorite of the sega. So for now, I'll be looking forward to Midnight Sun, hopefully, Mrs. Meyer will be able to continue and finish the complete book, despite what happened.

808s and Heartbreak
For those of you who don't yet know, 808s and Heartbreak is the newest release from Kanye West. With a whole new sound, and cover art, at first beat, fans are definitely taken aback. Fortunate for us, and Kanye, we are immediately drawn back, as we lose ourselves in the same originality, Kanye is known to have. This CD is just as GREAT as the others, following the better than the one before trend. Since it's release date [NOVEMBER 24] I have not been able to play a different CD. 808's and Heartbreaks has definitely stuck to me. Although, I do miss Mr. Teddy on the cover.
My Favorites:
See You In My Knightmares ft. Lil Wayne
RoboCop
Amazing ft. Young Jeezy
Street Lights

The Dating Game by Natalie Standiford
The Dating Game
Natalie Standiford
Overview
Madison, Holly and Lina have been best friends since Madison moved to their school. Although they are friendly with the popular kids, they haven't exactly been invited to any "cool" parties lately. But all that changes when these girls turn their IDH Project into their personal E-Harmony. With love in their hands, and each quiz entry that comes in, these girls pair themselves up with they guys of their dreams. But is it really meant to be, especially when you cheat love?
Review
This book was pretty good, a fun quick read with a light plot. I liked the multi-person POV, how I was able to get into each girl's head. It's funny how different these girls are, but also how they are soo much alike. The only thing I didn't really like was the amount of dialogue that was in the book. At times, I thought it was just too much, and wasn't well written. The writing was weak at some points too, but it was a good read overall. I would definitely recommend The Dating Game series to all YA Readers. I'll be looking for the second book in the series: Breaking Up Is Really Really Hard To Do.

GOBBEL GOBBLE AND A CONTEST...[PREVIEW]
Happy Turkey Day. I'm kinda late, since the day is like already over[unless you're in the California area], but it's better late than never, right? But anyways, moving on to the contest, cause I know that's why you're all here.. First off I'd like to say it's the very first one I'm holding andI'm kinda confused, so don't get mad, if it's not as organized. I will get better.. lol.. But for the month of December, I'll be holding a contest on my blog. As of right now, every Friday, a different author will share with us their thoughts, and a chance for one lucky persona to add a new book to their library. YAY!!! So I'm pretty excited and I hope you are too. But come back in December, [or even earlier than that] for more information and such. And don't forget to thank all those authors we love, today being THANKSgiving and all.
=)
