Why did i pick this quote?
cause it was said by Benjamin Franklin, duh. haven't you noticed the theme by now? but really though. i picked this quote cause i know there are people out there, other than me, who just love to eat. it's like a second hobby. this quote is unfortunately not giving a shout out to us food lovers, it's actually trying to teach us a lesson. i know, i know, school's over and I'm not your mom so i shouldn't be lecturing, especially this late in the day, but its kinda too late to stop me. food is a need not a want and we shouldn't abuse that need cause, there are people out there who don't have food in excess like we do. and i know we have it in excess cause with all that food we throw away at lunch, we could probably feed a whole starving village. that's how much of a food waster we are. we need to learn to eat the right portion and all that good junk. now that I'm done lecturing, you can see that it really wasn't that bad or even a lecture..lol..

but[oh yes! there's always a but] what you can do to help those starving people is visit this website, free rice. with ever so many words you get right, 20grains of rice is donated to the needy. not only are you giving to the needy and playing a fun game, but you're also exercising your brain and learning some new words. and it's soo cool now cause if you're not an english person[me] but a math geek, like me, you can change the subject to better suite you. just go to the website, it explaing everything better than i do and before you know it, you'll be hooked like a fish on a fishing pole..hehe.

Book Review

boy am i slacking, i guess i am in desperate need of a book review. well i just finished Revenge of the Homecoming Queen so HOPEFULLY, i'll have it's reveiw up in a week....or two. i told you, i'm slow..lol

i kinda felt unappriciated earlier to day so i guess this one totally fits into my day. lol. but this is a good one cause we need to learn to not take advantage of what we have. we need to give thanks more to everyone, especially for the litte things in life. because, it is the litte things that make the world go round.

Why did i choose this quote?

well this one is kinda self explanitory. we're all writers/bloggers in one way or another, so i thought we'd all appriciate this one. because if you think about it, we're all writing things worth reading, i mean if we didnt think it was worth reading why would we bother right? this quote is practically giving a SHOUT OUT to all of us, [yes that's right, you and you and you and even me!] and i love it! Thank You Benjamin Franklin. some other people it's giving a shout out to is, the writers of Prison Break!!! Don't you just love that show? it's my monday special. 9pm today, i'm ganna be sitting on my couch with the tv turned to channel FOX. what channel will you're tv be turned to?

Weekly Geeks.

two posts in one day? wow, this is a record..lol. but this is a good post, not a venting, muggled brained, i dunno what I'm talking about type post. so it should be better. should being the keyword.

I entered to be one of the participants in Dewey's Weekly Geeks event, Thanks to Fizzy Thoughts, i was introduced to Weekly Geeks from her blog, just thought I'd throw that in there =) So i guess that makes me a weekly geek, well at least for the moment. hehe. This week's activity is "A Quote A Day," [notice my quotation marks] It's and interesting activity and sounds like fun so i was like, why don't i try it, and well here i am, posting my first quote.

well it seems like its that time of the year when everyone gets sick. it's like a chain reaction, first its just one person that's doing the coughing, then another, and another, then only about 19 out of 30 kids show up to class the next day. it spreads faster than gossip, i mean it's that bad. no one likes being sick or going to the doctors office so why risk getting sick and going to that germ infested place[you could probably GET sick or MORE sick by just going there] So you know what i did today, i went out and bought some apples, 2bags to be exact, and you know what, you should too.

wow, this is just wayyy too confusing for me, I'm practically on the verge of giving up, but quitters never win and I'm not one to quit so i guess I'll just suck it up and do my best. what exactly am i talking about, you might be wondering? well, it's this whole book reviewing, blogging, blogger bussiness. i pretty much have no clue what i'm doing or what exactly i'm suppose to do but, i wont quit, not yet anyways..lol.. but seriously i'm having some trouble here. on the UP SIDE, i've figured out a few things and nick nacks here and there. all by myself so that's definately self-rewarding. this is soooo much harder than i thought it would be. i don't know how all you experts do it but if no one has ever congratulated you, let me be the first. CONGRATULATIONS. eventually, i'll be right there beside you and one of these days, a new blogger will be congratulationg me, i hope.. lol. untill then, i will keep myself doing what i'm currently doing which is [DRUM ROLL PLEASE] reviewing books(even though it takes me like a week for just one book) adding other interesting blogs to my "freinds list" (and hoping that they add me to theirs--hint...hint..), and well ENTERING AS MANY CONTESTS AS POSSIBLE. (cause you know i can and that is what i do best.) and writing random useless blog entries like this one. (well actually i don't know if i'll be able to do this again, since its more like a one time thing, but a girl can hope right?)

and to top things off, i just got told that i look exactly like my sister. she went off to college this yr and we were very close so i'm so sad that she's gone, but anyways, that's a bad thing cause it makes me look like some stalker freak person. especially since i'm wearing her shorts, her shirt, and my hair the way she usually does. you have to agree, that is kinda weird. but it was not planned, I PROMISE. lol. i do miss her though. A LOT.

but yea, this was totally randon and outta the blue...i like the color blue..lol

Audrey is an honor student, better yet, as Mr. Zwieback puts it, “a model student.” She makes the grades, is in the top5 rank at her school and is college bound. Everyone knows Audrey as the genius, the good girl. But all that changes after the picture. At a Halloween party, a picture of Audrey, in an uncomfortable position, is taken without her notice. By the next day, everyone at school has seen, taken note of, and passed it on, it’s like a snowball effect. That is, everyone but Audrey. Why is she getting so much attention from everyone? Who would do that to her? Why? A lot of questions go unanswered when Audrey sees herself captured in film. Could that really be her? Unfortunately it is, and it gets worst, her dad is given a copy of the picture. Could a picture really change someone’s life that much, it did Aubrey’s’.

Her grades get better. Since she’s spending less time at the parties, she’s studying more that ever. She even becomes valedictorian and gives an awesome speech at graduation. But none of this comes easy. Audrey is shunned at school and keeps to herself. She’s embarrassed and ashamed. The teachers are disappointed in her. Even her best friend, Ashley, thinks she’s a “slut.” With that she stomps off. If she is a slut, why shouldn’t she sit with the sluts, Pam Markovitz and Cindy Terlizzi. When she first sits with them, she does it out of anger and is ready to sit with her real friends again the next day but Ashley still gives her the cold shoulder. Soon enough, Ashley comes around, now it’s a group, Pam, Ashley, Cindy, Joelle and Audrey. A sporadic friendship is fashioned.

But what about Luke? Why is Audrey the only one getting called names? Why does he get to walk away without so much as a scratch? He was just as much in the picture as Audrey was. Since he didn’t take the picture, who did? When the truth comes out, will it ruin a friendship?
This was a pretty okay book about friendship, misunderstandings, and rumors. It was what I expected it to be; judging from the title, good girl gone bad. But it also wasn’t because she didn’t exactly go buck wild and the changes weren’t exactly her choice. I would recommend this book to the older readers because of how detailed/graphic it gets and also to fans of Anatomy of a Boyfriend by Daria Snadowsky, it sort of runs on the same scale.

Anna Percy has always been the good girl. She’s been the one to sit in the background and watch while best friend, Cynthia Baltres, has had all the fun. After twelve good years of being the audience, Anna Percy decides that she’s over due for a change. When her mom and sister leave her stranded in New York, she seizes the opportunity as a sign, packs up her bags, and flies over to LA to pay her dad a long awaited visit.

Before her plane lands in LA, she’s gotten more action than she ever has in her lifetime. She’s been hit on by her obnoxious seatmate, downed more vodka than ever, and even been saved by prince charming, better yet, Princeton Hottie, Ben Birbaum. With no time to waste, Anna and Ben quickly become acquaintances, such good ones that Ben feels entitled to invite her to Jackson Sharpe’s wedding, and an invite Anna could only accept.

With no less than twenty four hours spent in LA, Anna has done a lot more than she got herself ready for, as she suddenly finds her life being entangled with Ben, his friends, and most importantly, the A-List. She thought all she had to worry about was the A-List, Cammie, Sam, and Dee, the “it” girls but when a night with Ben goes wrong, Anna has a change or heart.

Zoey Dean really gives you an insight on what’s going on in the book and its characters, as she jumps from one character to the next. You really get an understanding of what’s going on and you feel yourself becoming one with the book. None of your questions go unanswered, well at least not until you finish the book that is. The A-List: A Novel wasn’t the first book I’d picked from the shelf, if I judged a book by its cover. Lucky for me, I don’t, or I would have missed out on a really good book.

I would definitely recommend to fans of the It Girl, Gossip Girl, Clique, and Pretty Little Liars series, put together, they would all make one happy little family. I’ll be sure to look into the other books in this series.
