OVERVIEW

Home for her first break as a freshman at Stanford, Kim Stratford finds herself stranded with nothing to do. When a drug bust assignment at the local private school comes up, Kim sees it as a chance to quench her boredom. With three suspects, determination and a new identity, the kids at Hereford Academy make room for the new kid, Kim Sharpe. After just a few days at Hereford Academy, Kim is already talking with two of the suspects as if they’ve been old pals. With only one suspect left to crack, Kim’s confident that she can solve the case and bring the bad guy home with only a week under the belt. Unfortunately, with every step she takes, and the closer she gets to solving the case, the tables continue to turn on her. As she finds herself at more dead ends than she’d planned for, Kim’s ready to pick up her bags and head on home. However, when she stumbles upon some major clues, not to mention the fact that she’s completely falling for one of the suspects, with great hopes that he’s not the bad guy, there’s more keeping her back than driving her out. With the real offender sure to make anyone do a double take, [s]he’s the perfect candidate for this crime.

REVIEW

Busted was a terrific book. It wasn’t all big words and incomprehensibility. It although, was easier to understand than I thought. With a fun filled plot, and relate-able characters, this actually makes for an easy read. [It also helps that all the SAT words are bolded, with definitions at the bottom of the page.] Busted truly was an easier, more fun way to learn the SAT vocabulary than memorizing flash cards after flashcards. It made for a great introduction, I will be looking into the other SAT Novels, and you should be too!
